The basic aim of Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development center (IEDC), is to encourage college-level students throughout the nation to start their own enterprise. IEDC strives to develop, nurture and sustain the entrepreneurship culture in KMCTCEW. It acts as a pre-incubator to help students develop their ideas into scalable startup ventures and hence overcome the problem of unemployment of trained youths.
OBJECTIVES OF INNOVATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT CENTER

To promote strong entrepreneurship among engineering students.

To devise and implement a mechanism for patenting of the products or innovations and securing the prototypes/ processes or products under intellectual property rights

To develop a conducive environment for exposing students to various aspects of industry

To develop close links between industry and institute by interaction programs and hence design activities to bring about improvement in the performance of the industry

To organize entrepreneurship development and awareness programs through National/ International level seminars/ workshops/ conferences.

To undertake research studies to identify high technology areas having entrepreneurship opportunities

To devise and implement a mechanism for identifying agencies to fetch funds for activities related to innovation and entrepreneurship
