The National Cadet Corps (NCC) came to being in 1948. NCC is Youth development movement which has enormous potential for nation building with its total strength of over 13 lakh cadets from schools and colleges to develop qualities of character courage, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and sportsmanship and the ideals of selfless service among the youth to make them useful citizens. It has emerged as the biggest uniformed youth organization of the country with its motto "Unity and Discipline". The NCC is a tri-service organization of army, navy and airforce. The Director of NCC at NewDelhi, functioning directly under the ministry of Defense, is heading the organization.

Motto

The Motto of National Cadet Corps is “UNITY AND DISCIPLINE” which means all the cadets of NCC should be well disciplined. They should have good character, attitude and ambition along with the social responsibility. They must be united together as a team in all aspects without any discrimination based on caste, religion, gender, language, race and social status.

9 Kerala Girls BN NCC

NCC unit KMCT CEW is a sub unit under 9 kerala girls battalion. Unit was started 2017. NCC unit conduct many activities such as Republic day parade, 10 day camps, Tree plantations etc. The moto of NCC is unity and discipline. The Aims of the NCC is to develop discipline, character, brotherhood, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. It also aims to enlighten leadership qualities among the youth who will serve the Nation regardless of which career they choose.
